Gordon Richardson: Nature Walks

Gordon was born in 1953 in the Philippines. His parents lived and worked abroad so Gordon attended several mainstream schools, mainly in Hong Kong and India. At age eight, he was sent to England with his brother to attend residential mainstream private schools, first in Yorkshire and then in Cambridge. He then went on to study at university.

Here Gordon describes being pushed in a pram so that he could join in.

I remember things like we used to go out on nature walks every Friday afternoon. Of course all the other children were able to run around and up the back lane, through the fields, and I was always put in a great big old fashioned pram and pushed up the lane by my mother or my grandmother, depending on who was free that afternoon, so that I could be part of the outing.
