I was the first one to do languages and computers and computers aren’t as advanced as they are now, there wasn’t too many short cuts, every time I sat a language exam I had to spell every word out aloud and even put the accents in and everything, so it took ages. I’d had my mocks, we tried with the hundred percent extra time and it just wasn’t working. Because by the time I finished or got half way through it, I was exhausted, I couldn’t do it. I mean, there was one exam I started at eight o’clock – because I’m obviously allowed toilet breaks as well and lunch breaks. I started at eight o’clock and I didn’t finish it till seven. And that wasn’t even the exam complete – this exam was split into two halves so you had the written exam for the first two hours and then you have the listening exam.Explore more
