Jane Campbell: Round the Houses
Jane was born in 1959 in Surrey and attended a local special school from age six to age sixteen. She then went on to a residential special college in Coventry, going on from there to University.
Here Jane talks about her long journey to school.

And the bus would come and pick me up with lots of other girls and boys, disabled girls and boys, of all ages and all capabilities, both mental and physical. And we’d be collected and once we’d gone round all the houses collecting everyone else – so of course the journey to school would always be about an hour and a half, which was not very good, they weren’t very comfortable buses.Explore more
